About this deal

if I focus at objects about 25-30 m away, objects are sharp between about 20m and 40m, beyond that they get increasingly blurred with increasing observation distance. I mean to emphasize that they are clearly much sharper and believe me I love my Zeiss roofs as well.

It is a pity Steiner doesn't supply these Navigator Pro's with their excellent looking floating strap as standard. mm, I would not describe the Steiner Navigator Pro 7x30 binoculars as having a very long eye-relief, but for a mid-sized instrument, it is pretty good and should be enough for most eyeglass wearers. Yes, most certainly: If you are in the market for a high performance, but reasonably compact binocular to take on just about any canoe, kayak, boat, yacht, or indeed just about any marine vessel then I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending these Steiner Navigator Pro 7x30 binoculars and I will most certainly be using them again of future trips and probably use them as my benchmark for this type of use. All is not lost however, as I know some have had good results with the higher end [read expensive] versions with the Hi-definition optics.Clifton Cameras is a credit broker, not a lender and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN728300). I wrote a 15 page review of it,which can still be found in this forum's "Link to 433+ reviews" virtual library. The cylindrical silicone eyecups offer the user excellent viewing comfort and reliable protection from stray light and wind from the side.

In my experience, this extremely minimal amount is certainly less than the majority of instruments that I test. Active in over 80 countries across the world, Steiner-Optik has been synonymous with the highest quality production and handcrafted precision for over 70 years. Of course, young people with a greater accommodation capacity of their eyes than me (I am 68) may believe that something like an “autofocus” reduces the need for them to refocus between various distances, but that just means that their eyes are performing most of the focusing work that usually should occur in the binocular. One other very important aspect is that NBR rubber, especially in relation to marine uses where you will often leave the binoculars on your boat, is that it also has an excellent level of resistance to sun and heat aging and so does not harden and perish as natural rubber does. The Steiner Navigator Pro is thereby always sharp from 20m to infinity thanks to the Sports Auto Focus system. Get up close to colourful birds in your garden, or marvel at breathtaking landscapes on a camping trip – the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC 7x30 children’s binoculars are perfect for observing the wonders of nature. I found the cups themselves to be very comfortable even when pushed firmly against my face and this is certainly one area where they have the advantage over the twist-up type on most binoculars.

Take the Navigator for what it is: a decent middle class binocular with individual focus, with excellent ergonomics and pleasant haptics, a good build quality and finish, comfortable eyecups, sufficient eye relief, good central and satisfactory edge sharpness, a decent stray-light control (better than the 7x30 model) and acceptable correction of CA.Aasy to use and versatile binoculars that offers in addition to its compact size and excellent image quality, an integrated HD-stabilized compass. There appeared to be no metal used in it's construction at all, not even the prism straps seen in most binoculars. The 128/1000m field of view (upgraded from the Navigator Pro, where it was 123/1000m) is almost the same as the Commander’s, image properties including distortion (very little) etc.
