STEP 17: Don’t worry if the end of your cake is a bit rough. You will cover most of it with the fondant rainbow and clouds. Squish any holes together first though so you don’t have the buttercream leaking out.

Continue up with the colors of the rainbow ( red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) to the top. Add the goodies to your pinata What I love about the festooning is that the middle is a solid ribbon that is easy to tape. You can cut your festooning into 6-8-inch pieces depending on your craft roll. Step 11: Cut a 6″ x 1 1/2″ strip from the cereal box. Measure 2″ in on each side and mark with a pen, then measure 1/2″ from there on each side and mark. Bend the cardboard at the marks you’ve made, as pictured below. Place the tissue paper over the other end of the toilet paper roll. You will have the handle on one end and this is the tail end of the pinata. You will then tape the tissue paper around the outside of the craft roll.
